2026 Race Circuit and Leaderboard
We want everyone to run, run, run… and walk too!
Our community has already been showing up in a big way this year, racing locally and across the globe. It’s been incredible to see, and we want to celebrate that energy.
We see you. We’re cheering you on. And now, we’re excited to recognize your efforts in a bigger way.
After gathering feedback from racers and club members, we’re introducing Leaderboards, a new way to track your races, celebrate achievements, and bring our community even closer together.
This is our first time launching something like this, and we’re excited to see how it grows with you!
Leaderboards
We’re launching two ways to track your progress:
Tracks races that are part of the official SFFR Race Circuit
Tracks any race you complete, anywhere in the world in 2026
Why We’re Doing This
The Race Circuit and Leaderboards are designed to:
1. Encourage healthy competition
2. Celebrate personal achievements
3. Celebrate members who participate in races both locally and around the world
4. Build a stronger, more connected running and walking community
Eligibility
- All active members of SFFR (paid their dues for 2026) are eligible to participate in completing events in the SFFR 2026 Race Circuit Calendar and be eligible for recognition and awards mentioned below.
- Complete a race of any distance in the 2026 Race Calendar.
- Races must be completed in-person or virtually (if this option is available from the event organizer) before the SFFR End of Year Party, which usually happens early in December.
- Races of 5K or longer that are sponsored or organized by any Frontrunners club in California, even if they’re not listed on the Race Calendar, may still be eligible for points. To have your race counted, email teamcaptain@sffr.org with the event details and your finish time.
How Points Work
Earn points for each race you complete:

Awards & Recognition
🥇 Race Circuit Finisher Award
- Earn at least 6 points to qualify
- A total of 24 finisher awards will be given
🥇 Runner of the Year Award
Awarded based on:
- Most total points
- Most races completed

Completed a race? Make it count!
Fill out the Race Completion Form after your race to earn points!
- Race Circuit races count toward both leaderboards.
- Non-circuit races count toward the Global Leaderboard
